The Thrive Allergy Expo will take place this weekend at McCormick Place, featuring speakers, events and activities all about celiac disease.
Free asthma screening will be available, and Rock’O, a peanut sniffing dog (and Portuguese Water Dog) will be there, too. The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center will be there, and Jules Shepard will be doing cooking presentations. Green’s, my favorite GF beers, will be there to talk about GF beers, and Borders be there selling GF cookbooks.
The Thrive Allergy Expo, April 18-19, 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., $10 for one-day pass, $15 for a two-day pass, McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive. Kids under 12 admitted for free. You can purchase tickets by called (866) 617-EXPO or by going to the Thrive Allergy Expo website.
