TGI(G)F: Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles

Happy Friday everyone! Today I am going to discuss a food that is very near and dear to my heart. In the Pre-GF days, I could eat cereal for three meals a day, easily. I still get cravings for Cheerios every now and then, and NOTHING comes close to quenching that! Sure, there are plenty of other cereals out there for Gluties, but they just don’t do it for me. Sometimes you need something sugary and processed to really hit the spot and let you reminisce about playing with Legos and Barbies.

Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles are the loophole of the children’s cereal world. They’re typically assumed to be devoid of nutritional value, and that assumption isn’t too far from the truth. Fortunately for us, though, they are also devoid of gluten!

Lately I’ve been trying to come up with new uses for the Pebbles, but I haven’t come up with any really great ones yet. Brooke adds it to her yogurt, like she usually would with granola. They could also replace sprinkles on ice cream. I’ve also thought about incorporating it into something like a rice krispie treat. Does anyone have any suggestions for new uses?
